Some fans got excited this week when they thought a recent auction provided a major hint at an upcoming Taylor Swift tour. As it turns out, the excitement was all for nothing.
Earlier this week, WDRB first reportedthat theUnbridled Eve Derby Gala was auctioning off two tickets to a 2026 Taylor Swift tour, which obviously sparked excitement in her massive fan base since the pop sensation has not yet announced a 2026 tour and this seemed to be a bit of a leak.
However, it appears that instead of a leak, the auction item was actually a mistake by the event organizers, as they mislabeled one of the items, leading to the confusion among fans.
The event's organizer offered her "deepest apologies" for what turned out to be a pretty major and high-profile mistake among Swifties.
“In the most recent Unbridled Eve press release, it inadvertently listed one of our auction items as a ‘Signed guitar by Taylor Swift and two concert tickets during her upcoming 2026 tour,’” gala cofounder Tammy York Day explained in an April 17 press release, via E! News. “Our deepest apologies for getting the Swiftie Nation excited.”
Day confirmed that it was indeed a mistake and the auction should have instead listed the signed guitar as well as “two tickets for a concert during her next tour” in the future, considering they have “no knowledge” of when Swift will head back on the road.
Swift obviously closed her record-breaking Eras Tour just a few months ago after being on the road for nearly two years. So another tour certainly would have been surprising considering the length and scale of her recent tour.
Instead, Taylor is likely spending some quality time with boyfriend Travis Kelce during the NFL offseason and perhaps working on a new musical release, such as her upcoming re-record of her "Reputation" album.
